Some Jw's are the worst employees
by Foolednomore ini found a company and employed an elder as an underwriter and two ms as sales and marketing.
anyway, this elder will delegate his work to the ms in sales and marketing, so he can go home early.
he knew when he got started that this would be a 10 hour a day job with some saturday.

10 hour days are normal for salaried people where I work. We are paid really well and get tons of perks - but we work for them.
I love my job too.

Some of the most evil, lying, SOB’s I’ve ever been unfortunate enough to come in contact with.
The lying is probably the worst. And the way they lie to cover for each other. As a female executive I would rather deal with oil field men than a bunch of ego inflated LDS males.
I worked once for a company with an LDS General Manager and the lies he told were outrageous and he tried to hire all his church buddies even though they were clearly unqualified for the positions. There were a few “Bishops” who demanded to be treated like they were Bishops at work. They all got fired after they tried to downsize everyone that wasn’t LDS.
Once you get to see the real people it gives you a different perspective vs the church people persona they want you to see. Oh the stories I could tell from first hand experiences with Mormons.

What's the deal with Cheese and Apple Danishes at conventions.
by pistolpete inthis was before my time, but there was this post that had 308 comments testifying that the best thing of being a jehovah witness back in the day was the convention's meals.
is this true?.
one quote out of 308;.

The cheese danish was the best! One of my favorites. Before our assembly hall was built, we had pizza and chili that was really good. There was a JW family that owned a very successful pizza parlor and they made the pizza for the circuit conventions. Then there was a “brother” that made really good chili and he would make these huge batches in the commercial kitchen at the rented facilities.

The "WE'RE ALL IMPERFECT" Theory.
by pistolpete ina recurring theme in this loyd deal is the we're all imperfect-----------excuse!.
the "we're all imperfect" phrase, is an over used watchtower membership cliche, embedded in the minds of jws and anyone that leaves.
in the real world, there is no such thing as "we are all imperfect".

The “We’re all imperfect “ defense is just a way to try and deflect responsibility for one’s actions. We can’t possibly be responsible for our own bad actions because “we’re all imperfect.”
I’ve heard it so many times from my JW relatives. Funny how it never applies when they are going to disfellowship someone.

When I was in the midst of leaving the org I remember a therapist telling me “ you don’t have to save the world you only have to save yourself”.
I think too many times people want someone else to do the saving because then the savior can be blamed for whatever happens next.
Learning to “save” yourself is one of the best things you can do.
Lloyd was their “savior” and when it came out he really wasn’t - they don’t know what to do with themselves. I never really got into his stuff because I find the videos irritating and can’t watch.
I left the org because I couldn’t stay - not because someone saved me. People supported me (here) but I took responsibility for my life and choices.

Door to door again?
by Zeds Dead indo you think the jdubs will start up the door whacking again one day?.
there has to be many inside the org that are dreading having to do that again and as for the general public seeing this, it’s hard to imagine.

I hope not. My parents, in their seventies, were put in a downtown city location with a cart, in freezing weather, back before the pandemic. It was not a safe location and freezing weather - ridiculous.

After being out as long as I have been, I can’t imagine a scenario where I would allow anyone to have that much influence on my life.
It astounds me that people become so brainwashed that they allow outside persons to tell them who they can talk to, what jobs they can take, what movies they watch, who they be friends with etc.
